Rose Butter by Rooted Radiant Review

The world has taken a beaten from 2020. From a pandemic paired with heightened anxiety and depression, to witnessing senseless acts of violence, to losing loved ones to COVID-19 most of us are ready to say good-bye to the nightmare that is 2020. 2021 better be a new chapter!

Self-care during this time has been of the utmost importance. Whether it’s being tested for the virus or taking care of our mental health, we need to log out of social media accounts and turn the TV off. Given the emotional state of the world, it’s okay to zone out for a little while. In the meantime, treat yourself. Skincare, haircare, and body care are an important component of self-care. Feeling good and looking good always starts with TLC.

Let me take a minute to introduce you to a brand called Rooted Radiant. I was first introduced to its founder Sally Kamara, who is formerly  Miss Black NJ after attended a networking event for women in November 2019. While I’m always proud to support a woman-owned business and I feel it’s especially important now more than ever to support black-owned businesses, Rooted Radiant’s natural products speak for themselves.

My favorite go-to product is its Rose Butter. A  whipped butter concoction, its beautiful texture melts in your hand and is loaded with skin-loving ingredients. While its base is shea butter (if you’ve done research you know that shea butter works wonders for the skin) its primary ingredients include Rosehip oil, Marula oil, Coconut Oil, and Sunflower Oil. All of these ingredients are highly effective in maintaining healthy-looking skin, keeping skin moisturized, and glowing. More importantly, its natural ingredients help in preventing and healing a variety of skin disorders such as psoriasis, eczema, and in some instances acne.

The luscious body butter comes in multiple sizes. For convenience when traveling, I have the smaller 2 oz size which is a perfect carry-on size and the 8 oz jar for at-home use.  I usually apply the butter as an all-over body moisturizer after the shower. It absorbs nicely and if done at night I wake up the next morning with super soft skin. When using at night, I recommend applying it 30 minutes or more before bed to let the product really sink in. As a daytime moisturizer, you can apply and go!

Here are a few more tips. It’s important to remember a little goes a long way so try to be very light with the amount you apply. If you are someone who suffers from dry or cracked feet try applying it to your feet at night, put on socks, and leave them on overnight. The next morning you will wake up with baby soft feet, I promise!
