Embr Wave 2 Review: The Product that Gives You Instant Temperature Relief

Living in New Jersey and working in New York has given me the opportunity to experience all four seasons throughout the years.

Summers in the city can be sizzling —you could literally fry an egg on the sidewalk in sweltering heat. Having heat-advisor-days of 100 plus degree weather isn’t uncommon. Winters in the northeast on the other hand, have given birth to the snowbird lifestyle —where northeast residents stay during the spring to fall months and temporarily relocate to spend cold winters in warmer states like Florida.

As someone always traveling, who is always on-the-go and who gets fatigued in hot weather, I decided to purchase Embr’s Wave 2 product.

What is Wave 2?

Embr advocates thermal wellness and created its newest product the Wave 2. The Wave 2 uses battery-powered thermoelectric technology to help regulate body temperature with just the touch of a button. It sends either cool or warm waves to the body resulting in the body responding to the change in temperature. If you’re feeling hot, it’s a great way to get a boost of coolness or warmth if you’re feeling cold.

The Wave 2 is easy to use. Its design is watch-like and its settings can be controlled when pairing with its app. In addition to its sleek design there are many benefits to thermal wellness.

According to Embr a study conducted at the University of California Berkeley users showed that using the Wave for just three minutes helped users feel an average of five degrees warmer or cooler. Thermal technology is great for anyone who suffers from hot flashes, has trouble sleeping and for those of you like me who need a boost of warmth of coolness throughout the day.

Embr’s website says:

“There’s a scientific reason why thermal sensations help you feel better. Each sends a comfort signal to the area of your brain that’s associated with thermoregulation, sensation, and even stress & emotion.”

The Verdict

I made the purchase around June and it was backordered. I finally received the Wave 2 in August and put it to use immediately. On hot days while running errands or traveling I wore it on my wrist and used the three minute setting, where I got a boost of cool waves on and off for three minutes. Did it cool me down? Yes.

I should mention that the Wave 2 is not meant to keep you cool 24 hours. The idea behind Wave 2 is that boosts of cool or warm sensations causes your body to respond which creates a shift in feeling and temperature.

Update

As of December 2021, I have use the Wave 2 in the colder months and find that its boost of warm waves is even more effective than what I felt in the summer months. New York can have very cold days, sometimes in the single digits. I’ve found on colder days the boost of a warm thermal sensation overall makes me feel warmer while I’m out and about. I look forward to using it in the colder winter months of January and February.

Overall, I think Wave 2 is effective and worth the purchase. The technology behind it is innovative and it successfully does what any good product should do —improve the quality of life for its users. Embr offers a 10% discount if you sign up for their e-mail list along with a 30-day money back guarantee. It’s definitely worth a try. To learn more about the Wave 2 visit Embr here.
